EDGE PIECE PUZZLE: SUMMER DAY ON THE RIVER

I was gifted this for Christmas and while it arrived late (try to account for that if you’re based in Europe), it was the best surprise ever. The puzzle is challenging but not frustrating. The artwork is stunning, and the paper, and print quality are top.

As a designer, there’s one thing I can’t quite let go of: If the print were as bright as on the product photos it would be an even prettier product. The actual puzzle is darker as if the brightness was turned down. It is harder to see the details on the bricks that in turn makes it harder to solve and does not do justice to the artwork. Looking at the pictures in the reviews on the birthday heist it is the case with the new one as well.

I hope future batches will be even more finely print tested and tuned!

Summer day on the river is the first mostly edge puzzle I made and I enjoyed it very much. The graphics are full of fun little details. Compaired to normal puzzles it asks for a different mindset because of the design and the unconventional shapes of the pieces. I also made the second one, the Hillside. Great fun as well, I think the River is the harder one to solve.
