BUILD DICE

I first saw these a few years ago and I knew that they would be the perfect retirement gift for my dad, a lifelong maker. Within just a couple days of opening them he's finished his first project that they inspired, a musical step-stool from recycled parts. Awesome gift for for someone who always needs a new project!

These three metal dice are so well crafted, heavy and feel really good in your hands. To get your creative juices flowing, roll them (on a padded surface). One dice tells you what to build, the second one tells you what material to use and the last one, what properties it should have. You don't have to be a maker to enjoy these, they look great on your desk, your coffee table or your curio cabinet.

Absolutely love my dice. I love to do a bunch of small projects but always find myself paralyzed by the choices I've given myself. This help me narrow down my choices or even, come up with something in the moment. Dice are sturdy but not overly heavy for being metal, and the display box is gorgeous

On a tactile level, the Build Dice are wonderful to interact with. The quality is great and you can absolutely leave them on your desk as something to fiddle with if that's your jam. Also, my partner and I are makers and DIYers, and we find that having a project to work on is essential to mental health, mood stability, etc. So when we don't have a project in mind, this is a great way to jumpstart something, even if we don't exactly stick to what the dice tell us.
