OVERVIEW

Putting together the edge pieces is usually the best part of a jigsaw puzzle. So what if (almost) every piece was an edge piece?

In the Majority Edge Piece Puzzle, 408 out of 512 pieces are edge pieces. That means no easy starting point – just a beautifully maddening challenge, where every piece is as tricky as the next.

Disguised as a gentle summer scene, this puzzle will test your patience and persistence.

Illustrated by Elin Östberg.

    Challenging and fun

I wouldn't call it EXTREMELY difficult, but definitely more difficult than your average 500 piece puzzle. But the best thing is that it's a different experience from an ordinary puzzle, and you have to develop new strategies.

    Extremely frustrating

...yet addicting and immensely satisfying to complete. I'm crossing my fingers new designs are on the way.

For anyone wondering about difficulty level: This one is for sure the harder one of the two available (the other being 'Birthday Heist on the Hillside') and impossibly hard to complete without looking at the cover picture. While 'Birthday Heist' was manageable without having to look at the reference. Hope it helps!

    Should have listened

I saw this puzzle when it was talked about on ask me anything hosted by Hank Green and to her credit, she said that this puzzle was extremely difficult, but I’ve been doing puzzles my whole life… it took me weeks. If I could rate it 1 million stars I would. It is as if Icarus had escaped death moments before plunging into the sea, and was now allowed to live the rest of his life with renewed appreciation.

So fun, and such a challenge

We received both edge piece puzzles late this winter and both were fantastic! The river is decidedly the more challenging of these two, but both will make you work and have incredibly fun illustrations.

If you enjoy puzzles, I cannot recommend these enough to break out of the standard rectangular norm.

    Good challenge

I got this one done by myself in about 15 hours… which is pretty long for a ~1000 piece puzzle!

I love it when puzzles come with a fold out image, i always need a bigger picture than whats on the box. and it doubles as a poster afterwards!
